XLGuard Rope Protector

The XLGuard rope protector consists of 5 layers. The main and most secure layer is inside the protector. Between the two layers of the PVC membrane, a 0,5 mm stainless steel wire is inserted every 5 mm. Both PVC membrane materials are fused to each other. In this way, the stainless-steel wire is stably fixed inside the two PVC membranes.

PVC membranes are reinforced in such a way that, in the event of any external impact on the protector, there is no possibility of changing the distance between them. The position of the stainless-steel wire between the fused PVC membranes always remains unchanged. The outer layers of these fused PVC membranes are PVC and PTFE membrane, these materials are stitched together.

Another thing that makes XLGuard unique is its length. At either end of the protector there are Velcro strips, which allow any number of protectors to be attached together, depending on required length. XLGuard also remains very flexible despite the metal wire and does not impede user’s movement.

The PTFE membrane ensures smooth movement of the rope with minimal friction inside the protector. This multi-layer protector protects the stainless steel wire from friction.
